Disclosure, this review is based on a product provided to me by a representative of the company. However, all opinions are my own.
Ibiyaya is a family owned and operated company providing premium pet strollers, pet carriers, beds, and and furniture. When they contacted me about a review, I was quite intrigued, because both dogs are getting to a point in in life where they are not up to very long walks, yet I would like to go longer myself and have them with me. Eve in particular cannot go very far because she has a chronic hip-flexor injury, yet she enjoys going on walks and exploring. A stroller is the perfect solution for that.
I was sent the Monarch Premium Pet Jogger, which is an attractive medium-size stroller, with a screen cover and cup holders. While it uses the term “jogger” in the title, I view it more applicable to taking walks. It is billed as a luxury stroller, and I agree wholeheartedly with that. The Ibiyaya Monarch is very attractive and sturdy, with a luxury look, especially if you get it in the luxury gold color scheme. All Ibiyaya products are made from virgin plastic, consolidated materials, and non-toxic fabrics.
The Monarch dog stroller arrived quickly from Amazon. Ibiyaya products are eligible for Amazon Prime, so shipping is quite easy and quick if you purchase through there.
Set up of the stroller was super easy. It took me all of about 5 minutes. Heck, it probably took me longer to find a pair of scissors to open up the box with than it took for me to put the stroller together. The dog stroller came with a sheet of pictorial instructions that were easy to follow.
Set up consisted of snapping on the wheels and the cup holder. The stroller folds for easy storage and is quickly and easily extended to full height. I had no problems at all collapsing it and putting it back up again. It is fairly lightweight (17 lbs), and I was able to lift it by myself with no problems.
At a size of 26(L) x 15.4(W) x 20.9(H) inches, the carriage area is roomy enough for a medium sized dog or multiple small dogs. It is nicely padded, and there are two leash hooks inside. There is a sun shade that includes a screen enclosure. Use of the screen is a nice way to keep your dog more fully contained. Both of my corgis could probably fit in it, although it would be a bit tight with both. I had them model it separately.
The stroller moves smoothly and is very stable. Ibiyaya strollers have an all-wheel suspension for a smooth ride and a front locking swivel wheel. At the back there is a one-touch rear brake. So you can lock the wheels. It moves up and down easily with a tap of the foot.
Extra touches include an underneath storage area for your items or your dog’s accessories. Also included is a tray with two cup holders. The back has a screen for extra air ventilation, which is a nice touch and important for safety in warm weather. A push of the release on the handle allows the stroller to easily fold up.
Eve was more than happy to model the stroller.
Here is a look at it with the screen shut. As you can see, Eve has plenty of headroom. She fit quite comfortably inside, with plenty of room to spare. For reference, she is a 25 pound corgi and is about 22 inches long from shoulder to rear and 27 inches from tip of nose to rear.
Ty was happy to go for a ride as well.
