If you have a pet you already know that pets cost money; if you are thinking about adopting a pet, be sure to adopt one from a shelter and not buy one from a pet store, as pet from pet stores often come from puppy mills! If you are planning on adopting a new pet, you must also insure that you can afford it. Pet ownership is wonderful but it also is a great responsibility. There will be the expected everyday cost for food but that’s not all; besides food, pets require regular vet visits, sometimes grooming, if you live somewhere cold, you might have to buy your pet friend some clothes & of course, the occasional toy (besides your shoes!).
