The wombat is a cute mammal from the marsupial family native of Australia. Some say that wombats look like mini bears! They are nocturnal grazers which means they sleep most of the day and come out of their burrows at night to eat grass and roots. Under the right condition, the wombat can live up to 30 years. There are 3 existing species of wombats: common wombat, bare-nosed wombat and northern hairy-nosed wombat.
