All About the Goldendoodle

The Goldendoodle is a golden retriever and poodle mix. They are one of the most popluar crossbreed dogs and are often descirbed as a large version of the cockapoo.

Golden doodles are considered to be intelligent, friendly, and affectionate. They typically come in three  differnt sizes of miniature, medium, and standard. They are active dogs that need roon to exercise. They also excel at canine sports such as agility or flyball. I have seen a number of Goldendoodles at agility trials, and they often seem to do very well.

Both Golden Retrievers and Poodles are highly intellegent dogs that train easily. Poodles are also often hypoallergenic, and Goldendoodles are sometimes advertised as also being hypoallergenic. However, there is no guarantee of that, so proceed with caution if looking for an allergy free dog.

Grooming is fairly easy with these dogs, and they tend to make good family pets. They are normally quite good with children and with other dogs.
