I totally love fall, and so do the corgis. It is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy the brisk fall weather. One of our favorite fall activities is lure coursing where the dogs chase a bag on a line around a field. Eve goes nuts trying to catch it, while Ty just enjoys being in the great outdoors.
Of course doing something as active as lure coursing has a few requirements. For example, it is important to warm the dogs up with some light exercise, such as walking, before they go out and run the course. I also like to be sure that they are well hydrated before their runs. Some active stretching before a run helps too.
Then, lure coursing requires a lot of energy, and energy requires nutritious premium food and treats. I prefer something that is high protein and grain free. Wild Pursuit is a new line of such products from Natural Balance that is formulated to satisfy a pet’s primal cravings. Natural Balance Wild Pursuit pet food, with varieties for dogs and cats, meets the animal’s nutritional needs by closely resembling the diet they would have eaten in the wild.
You can choose from unique proteins like guinea fowl, quail, trout, and walleye, and the food is a 100% grain-free formula. Wild Pursuit food contains a balanced blend of three protein sources such as trout/salmon/tuna or lamb/chicken/guinea fowl, along with freeze dried raw pieces. I like the inclusion of raw pieces, as I have been doing that with the corgis for awhile now.
The Natural Balance Wild Pursuit dog treats include Venison or Lamb Lung Bites. They are an authentic and irresistible high protein, grain-free and gluten-free treat with less than 8 calories per piece. I think they go along nicely with Natural Balance’s other grain-free options. And, of course, the dogs love to enjoy them after an outdoor adventure!
