The Cockapoo is one of the most popular and well known mixed breed dogs. The result of a mix between a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel, it is also known as the Cockapoodle, Cockerpoo, or Cock-a-Poo.

When Cockapoos are intentially bred, the aim is for a hypoallergenic dog with an ideal temperament. As a result, people with allergies sometimes seek out these dogs. It is one of the mixed breeds that has come a long way in terms of formulating breed standards and a good network of responsible breeders. I love cockapoos! My husband is allergic to cats & dogs so we have recently been looking in the hypoallergenic breeds!
